Magic Group Media

Magic Group Media has been Jimmy Nelson’s creative partner and adviser for more than 15 years. For the “Before They Pass Away” project they advised Jimmy Nelson on many creative issues and have taken the images under their care from a (analog development) to z (the highest possible quality- ready for print). This has raised the bar for what photography projects can achieve. Both Jimmy Nelson and Magic Group Media pride themselves in this joining of forces, which led to the main sponsor ship by Magic Group Media for the “Before They // Part II” project. We are looking forward to the many exciting joint projects in the near future and are confident we can raise the bar further.

Scopic

Scopic

Since the production of the new book in 2016, we started to bring a 360 camera on the journeys. We teamed up with Scopic to bring ancient indigenous cultures to virtual reality, allowing the audience to stand amongst people from all across the world. We are able to create a global immersive VR video tour across nations and cultures, because Scopic can supply us with all material needed. We are very excited to show you the outcome anytime soon!

About Scopic

Scopic was founded in 2014 by Producer Justin Karten and Director Yori van Gerven. In late 2013, the first signs of a 360 degree video and the development of a consumer virtual reality goggle emerged. With their expertise and the history of filmmaking in mind, both immediately believed that this technological development will be the new future medium.

The human brain identifies and gets emotionally involved with stories. Since the dawn of mankind, we are constantly trying captivate others with our stories. Thanks to the advancement of video technology, we have now come to a point in which the viewer can actually relive a story and easily share it. Scopic aims to create a virtual reality that touches all of the viewers senses. It’s a whole new way of engaging your audience, taking them on a journey through different realities.
